We offer our guests a choice to dine in any one of our restaurants. Serving one of the best authentic Bhutanese cuisine in the valley is our ‘Yuee Chuum’ restaurant.
‘Yuee Chuum’ means local rice. Paro is popularly known for the red rice, owing to its nutritional values, it is also exported to developed country such as United States of America. However, we named the restaurant ‘yuee chuum’ because Paro is known as the ‘Rice bowl of Bhutan.’
Our other restaurant is a multi-cusine restaurant- ‘Thori’ and it means heaven. One exclusive reason to name it so is for the view it offers from our multi-cusine restaurant. By large, the name of this restaurant dwells in the concept that human must eat as it is the basic need to survive. It is through hard work we can afford to eat and once we eat, we continue our lives. Interlinking with this basic need and satisfaction, the name struck for the restaurant.
It was the views from my cottage room overseeing the valley of Paro that made the Remarks Resort my favorite hotel in Bhutan. Oh how I miss that room with those views. The beds had heat warmers which was great to arrive to after hiking in the chilly weather. The hotel restaurant was ok for dinner but I found the breakfast better during my 2 day stay in Paro.

Wonderful place and amazing staff. The rooms are spacious, the resort is on a small hillock and the views are mesmerizing. They have a small restaurant and they have a decent breakfast spread. The staff is always helpful to make your stay pleasant and ensure that you get the most of the stay. Certainly visiting again.

Rema Resort was the lodging where we had to stay for the last leg of our trip to Bhutan. Resorts and hotels in Paro are quite scattered, but are located in amazing locations. The same goes for Rema Resort, the rooms of which give a view of the river and the town. Check-in was quick, tea/coffee served as welcome drink.

The property is hardly 2 km from the market area of Paro. Our room was on the first floor with balcony and a pleasent view of the montains and river. The room was very clean and guess what they also provide bed heater. The staff was wonderfully trained and very courteous. Overall, each penny spent was worthwhile.
